Overview

247 Tools is a collection of free browser tools. This policy describes what data the site processes when you use it, what stays on your device, and which third parties are involved.

Tool inputs stay in your browser

Text and values you enter into a tool are processed by that tool in your browser. Tool inputs are not uploaded or sent to a 247 Tools server, and the tools do not require an account or save a history of what you enter.

Page analytics

On the production site, 247 Tools uses Ahrefs Analytics to count page views in aggregate. Ahrefs Analytics is cookieless and stores nothing on your device, which is why it runs without the consent banner. For each page view it receives standard request information: the page's address, the referring page, browser and device type, operating system, language, and an approximate location derived from your IP address. It never runs on the search page and never receives anything you type into a tool.

With your consent, the production site also uses Google Analytics to measure visits and how pages are used. This includes small interaction events — which tool's buttons were used, whether a result was copied, and whether the contact form was submitted — described only by the page and the button's label, never by the text or values you enter. Google Analytics loads only after you choose Accept analytics in the consent banner; until then it sets no cookies, and its consent signals default to denied under Google Consent Mode. Page addresses are reported to Google without query strings, and Google Analytics never runs on the search page, so what you type into search is never sent to Google. Session replay

With your consent, the production site uses Microsoft Clarity to record interaction sessions — clicks, scrolls, and page navigation — so usability problems can be found and fixed. Clarity loads only after you choose Accept analytics in the consent banner, and it never runs on the search page. Recordings are masked and pseudonymous rather than anonymous: text you type is masked in the browser before anything is uploaded, so recordings never contain your tool inputs, but Clarity sets cookies to recognize repeat sessions. Your analytics choices

The consent banner controls Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity. Neither loads before you accept, and declining keeps them off. Your choice is saved in your browser's localStorage under the key gollin1-consent so it can be honored on your next visit; the choice itself never leaves your browser.

A change applies right away: accepting loads the services on the current page, and declining signals them to stop and keeps them from loading again. Cookies set while analytics were on (such as _ga or _clck) are not deleted by this control — they expire on their own, or you can remove them by clearing your browser's site data, which also clears the saved choice and shows the banner again.

Hosting and request logs

The site is hosted on Vercel. Like any web host, Vercel receives ordinary request data — such as your IP address, browser information, and the pages you request — in order to serve the site, and may keep standard request logs.

Local storage

The site stores two values in your browser's localStorage: your theme preference (light or dark) under the key gollin1-theme, and your analytics choice under the key gollin1-consent. Both stay in your browser. You can remove them by clearing your browser's site data, which restores the defaults and shows the consent banner again.

Clipboard

When you choose Copy in a tool, the current result is written to your system clipboard. The site never reads your clipboard, and it writes to it only when you ask.

Contact form messages

When you send a message through the contact page, the email address, subject, and message you submit are sent to a server and delivered to the site operator's inbox by the Resend email service. They are used only to read and answer your message. To limit abuse, the server that receives the form also processes your IP address briefly to enforce a rate limit on submissions. Contact messages and search queries (which travel in the page URL like any page request) are the only typed content that reaches a server — tool inputs never do.

Advertising

247 Tools does not currently serve advertising. The site may introduce advertising in the future; if it does, this policy will be updated first to describe the ad provider, any cookies or similar technologies involved, and the choices available to you.

Changes to this policy

This policy may change as the site changes. Updates are published on this page with a new effective date.
